The success of this campaign so far has made me GIDDY, so tonight, after dinner, I MADE YOU A MEDLEY OF OVERLAPPING SNIPPETS OF SOME (but not all) of the guitar solos from this batch of songs (I stopped at 22). I need you to feel as insane as I do right now. GET GIDDY!
Hello, kind friends. About two hours ago, I began trying to craft a letter to you to explain what the future of this campaign (now that's been funded) is all about. I explicitly said, "I'll post something over the weekend about how this all makes me FEEL, but for now I just want to..." and then promptly went into five paragraphs about how I was feeling.
So I'm going to start over, say a *little* something here, and work on a longer update for the weekend that will lay out in detail what I'm going to do with the goal achieved, and what I hope and plan to do with anything else that comes in over the next TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS.
THAT, as I said, will happen over the weekend. I want to be up front with you all about every aspect of this. FOR NOW, I just want to say thanks again. You've empowered me to put together what I hope will be an amazing body of work, and begun setting the stage for more to come; and the fact that it happened so fast is HUGE. It means I can start putting it all in motion very soon, and everything we do from here on out, we do with a true and free spirit of creativity. IT'S A NEW FEELING FOR ME, and I thank you for helping me to this place.

Yeah - here's a big update - YOU HELPED GET THIS THING FUNDED IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS, you amazing, amazing group of people! What this means is that from now until the end of the campaign, we know we have what we need in place to finish this record and get it turned around and out to you as quickly as possible. What it means beyond that is that for the next 29 days, we keep funding, and anything that comes into the coffers now will be used to do it BETTER, to be able to be CREATIVE without the sword od Damocles hanging over our heads, and to lay some groundwork for the next thing, and the next thing, and so on. Trust that there's a social responsibility component to everything I do that I will make sure is well represented via the gifts that you are giving me. NOW, I'm going to whip another medly together to post TONIGHT as a first way of saying thank you.

First of all, thank you, again, everyone, for getting this off the ground so quickly. I still have a lot of work to do to actually finish the LP that's the focus of all this, but we can all walk and chew gum at the same time, right?

Some people have asked about my ability to toss one in with another order, but the thing with the tapes is that I have about a hundred 60-min blank tapes that I bought in bulk about four or five years ago, when I thought all tape was about to disappear from the earth, on hand. Incidentally, something you might find interesting is that also around that time, a nice gent in Canada sent me some high quality cassettes that I'm actually eventually going to mix to and master from, I hope. But back to the topic at hand - those 60-min blanks are all accounted for now, so that tier is kaput. IF the campaign funds well enough, I will definitely look into getting another batch and offering just the demo tape as an add-on, and will update accordingly. THANK YOU!
