New Ted Leo Album

7" SERIES QEUSTION!

I got a question about what, exactly, the 7" series entails, so I thought I'd post the answer here as an update, in case anyone else was wondering.  As of right now, I'm looking at at least twelve, but possibly fourteen songs for the LP.  So I envision the 7" club to be twelve to fourteen 7"s with the album itself spread out across the A-sides, and the B-sides being all non-album tracks.  I certainly have enough originals to fill that out, but I might throw in a few covers as well, for the fun of it.  One song is very long, and thus might have to actually be split over the two sides like a dub-plate.  We'll see!  I can tell you that if this thing gets funded, the amazing Gail Marowitz* is on board for not just the album art (no title or track listing yet - this is all in its infancy, still), but also this 7" series.  So they'll ALL have a nice cover and be enclosed in a well-designed box, most likely with a booklet containing the rest of the album art and lyrics.  I hope that helps.

In response to Ezra, I want to clarify that when I say "10 people" for the meal, or "5o people" for the show, I mean to CHIP IN, if you want - not every one of those people has to buy in at that level.  I mean - hey - if you can find enough people with deep pockets to do it, I'm not gonna say everyone of those people CAN'T buy in at that level, but my intent here is to make it as affordable as possible, not prohibitive. Carry on!
